At our blogging workshop I promoted Google Analytics as a way museums could easily track user stats and at the same time standardize on a single stats package. I'm considering setting up a Museum Blog profile in GA and letting museum bloggers add their blogs to it, and start tracking their blogs stats. It would be pretty easy for people to add to their blogs (just have to add it to their blog template's footer), and it would let all of us compare notes on the relative success of the museum blog world, beyond just Technorati rankings. No idea how useful this info would be but given how easy it is to set up, I would think something interesting could come of it.

Also here's a photo I took at our Blogger's lunch:

Pilar,
It was great fun. I just wish we had more time! I didn't even get a chance to meet everyone. Lynn Bethke has posted some photos on her blog at:

Many thanks, Jim, for your wonderful lecture and for sharing with us the paper, the presentation and your insights. It was also a pleasure the bloggers' lunch!

Does anyone have some photos of the meet up?
