Multimedia Authoring with Apple Media Tool is a self-paced tutorial that teaches the basics of multimedia authoring. The book includes a CD-ROM with sample projects and additional instructional materials. Ideum worked closely with Apple and its software developers to create the book and CD-ROM.

The tutorial is project-based, and takes readers through the development process step-by-step. They learn the basics of multimedia authoring and how to integrate components such as digital video and QuickTime VR. Ideum also developed the New Features Demo which shipped with the Apple Media Tool Product.
