ExhibitFiles is a National Science Foundation-sponsored community site which brings together exhibit and exhibition designers and developers. Personal profiles, along with case studies and reviews, allow community members to share their experiences and connect with others.
Ideum worked closely with the Association of Science - Technology Centers and Independent Exhibits to develop this interactive site. A team of advisors and a development blog helped guide the process. Ideum developed the site from scratch using the Ruby on Rails programming framework. This custom site contains rich features such as support for multiple media types, "favorites," and even a custom thumbnail creator. A content-management system allows ASTC staff to manage "featured" projects and members.
