Global Climate Change: Research Explorer allows the public to examine the same data that scientists and researchers look at in studying global warming. Developed with the Exploratorium, the site was supported by the National Science Foundation.

Ideum developed the conceptual framework for the site and worked closely with Exploratorium writers, educators and scientists. Research connections, questions, captions, and annotation provide insight into global climate change and the scientific process.

In May of 2003, the site was honored with a 15,000 Euro Pirelli International Award for best Environmental Multimedia Project.  (Ideum won the same award the following year for the Sun-Earth Media Viewer.)  The Global Climate Change site also won an American Association of Museums 2003 MUSE Award.
