Photographs from the African Diaspora is an interactive exhibit that allows visitors to zoom and view over 2,000 images contributed by professional and amateur photographers.
Developed with the Museum of the African Diaspora, this online exhibit provides an opportunity for people to share their African Diaspora experiences.
This exhibit is the online version of a two-story tall photomosaic image which appears in the museum in San Francisco. The original photograph was taken by Chester Higgins Jr. The photomosaic was created by Robert Silvers and Runaway Technology. This interactive online exhibit was developed in Macromedia Flash and uses XML and PHP to dynamically pull information from a database.
