Intuitive Gesture-Based Multiuser Installations
The MT-50 Multitouch and Multiuser Table, bundled with the GestureWorks framework for Adobe Flash and Flex, is a powerful development platform for creating the next generation of computer-based interactive exhibits and installations, as well as conducting research. The table supports application authoring in a variety of programming languages, including C++, C#, Java, Python, Ruby, or any language that absorbs TUIO input.

Ready to go
The MT-50 Table has a bright 50″ (diagonal) surface with a high-resolution display, which is higher than Microsoft’s Surface multi-touch table. The large display makes it easy for multiple users to simultaneous interact with multitouch applications and one another. The multitouch support allows users to apply intuitive hand gestures to manipulate virtual objects, images, and media items.
One Tough Table
The MT-50 Table is designed for demanding environments. The internal frame is made of rugged, aircraft-grade aluminum framing material. The side panels are made of powder-coated cold-rolled steel (available in multiple colors). The interactive surface is a seamless sheet of anti-glare tempered glass, with micro-etched haptic surface. The interior components have been selected for their quality and durability. The table has been field tested at busy public venues like the Vancouver Aquarium, California Science Center, NASA’s Goddard Visitor Center, and many others.
The 50″ (diagonal) haptic glass top is coated underneath with projection material for a bright, crisp display. The display size has a 16:9 ratio at 1280 x 720 pixels. The bright 3000 lumens projector has a 1800-to-1 contrast ratio and the image displays on the table with zero keystoning. The high-resolution DLP projector has a 3,000 hour bulb life.
Made for Museums and Demanding Environments
As museums and other visitor centers move to develop exhibits promoting greater visitor communication and interaction, the MT-50 Table is viewed as an increasingly desireable platform. The playful nature of multitouch interaction, the large surface and the low, ADA compliant table height all contribute to the visitor experience. The MT-50 Table does what traditional computer kiosks can’t do: foster social interaction and allow visitors to interact physically with museum collections and educational programs.
