GestureWorks Multitouch Authoring for Flash and FlexGestureworks multitouch authoring for Adobe Flash

The MT-50 Table comes complete with the unlimited commercial version of the GestureWorks framework for Adobe Flash and Flex. GestureWorks allows developers to create applications that support multiple, simultaneous gestures. It is the most robust multitouch authoring solution for Adobe Flash and Flex. It simplifies multitouch development; ActionScript developers can associate gestures with objects and layers as simply as “mouse events” are handled.

GestureWorks comes with a multitouch Gesture Library that includes many built-in gestures, including pinch and scale, flip/flick, rotate, drag (one finger drag, two finger scroll), tap, double-tap, and press and hold. The Gesture Library is fully extensible; gestures can be added, dropped or modified. GestureWorks was developed by Ideum. You can learn more and download a trial version on the GestureWorks website.

Collection Viewer

Collections Viewer Ideum’s Collection Viewer, a multitouch enabled image and video viewer.

Each MT-50 Table comes with Ideum’s Collection Viewer, a multitouch-enabled image and video viewer. You can connect with local images and video files or draw them directly from Flickr. The Collection Viewer can use Adobe’s XMP metadata, a standard XML schema, or it can draw descriptive information from Flickr. In addition, the Collection Viewer supports the Timed Text standard (local files only), allowing for captioning of videos.

The Collection Viewer allows for omni-directional interaction. A small group of people can interact simultaneously, approaching the table from any direction. Media objects appear in different places and orientations on the table randomly and will fade off stage if they are not interacted with. This provides a dynamic and ever-changing exhibit. It is easy to change the program, including the graphic interface, physics properties, and other parameters.

Map Mashup

Each MT-50 Table comes with a configurable version of Ideum’s Google Maps/ Flickr mashup application. This application can be set up to draw photos and videos directly from Flickr groups and place them on a Google Map. Longer videos can be drawn in directly from YouTube as well. Descriptive information for each image and video is drawn directly from Flickr and YouTube. The map mashup application and the MT-50 provide a ready-made, dynamic, location-based exhibit.

NUITEQ Suite 1.9 Snowflake
