The Ideum team was thrilled to learn that Exploring Pueblo Pottery, the interactive projection mapping exhibit we developed in collaboration with Acoma Pueblo artist Michelle Lowden, is the winner of a Gold 2019 APEX Award in the Experiential Design & Planning category.

Award recipients are honored for “achievement in the installation of digital displays and interactive technology and the creation of compelling viewer content.” Gold, Silver, and Bronze mentions are awarded to outstanding entries. A total of 112 entrants from 13 different countries applied in at least one of the competition’s 12 categories.

This marks the third major design award for this project. In 2018, Exploring Pueblo Pottery received a Global Design Award from SEGD, the Society for Experiential Graphic Design. In 2019, the project won a German Design Award. The project has also been shortlisted for a design award from the One Show 2019.
